What to ask any duct cleaner.

Is the quote in writing, and does it say what is included?A fair quote lists the vents, returns and areas covered, and gives a price you can compare.

Do they look at the system before they clean?A company that starts with a look, or a camera inspection, can tell you what is really there.

Do they promise health benefits?Be careful. Studies have not shown that duct cleaning prevents health problems.

Are they honest about what is not needed?A company that will tell you your ducts look fine is one worth trusting.
